So, I finally did it. After frustration after frustration, I ordered a new needle set from KnitPicks. Their options interchangeable set is excellent for knitting, lace, for faster knitting, and the join is supposed to be smooth, smooth, smooth. I am currently working on my February Lady Sweater with bamboo circs, and I tell you, the blunt tips (even blunter from all the years of use) and the sticky join is just about taking out all the fun!
So instead of going Addi, I am going to try the Knitpick set. I also threw in a little yarn to make a highly wearable clapotis. I am so excited!
