Camping With the Babies

So went for our first camping trip on the Big Sur coast.  It only lasted one night, but it was great.  Once upon a time, I used to go to BS a lot, to the Henry Miller Library, to the beaches to water color and sip wine.  With kids the journey is a bit different, but they'll love it just as I do.

If you have never been here, you must.  It's outrageously beautiful, the stars at night are bright and deep, the water this amazing shade of blue. 

There is nothing like sleeping next to your children in a tent, starring at the stars as we fall asleep, listening to nothing but the ocean waves pounding the cliffs, the crickets, the dog snoring.  It was heaven.

Oh, Big Sur... Haven't been in so long, but the memories have stuck.
