Swing Swing Smock

Img1615_2So a few days ago, I finished sewing my first piece of clothing.  This little smock from Bend the Rules Sewing was the perfect first project.  The bias binding was a little tough, but once I ripped it off a few times and realized what I was doing it started togo a little more smoothly.

The smock is a bit big on my daughter; she is a 3T, and this is more of a 4-5T I think, but the cotton might shrink with multiple washings (I preshrunk it, but I have little experience with this type of thing).  I used Charm by Amy Butler fabric, and some generic bias tape.  I am amazed I got any of this done, since I had been sick for most of June, and I have some sleep I need to catch up on.  But it was fun!  Now, back to those paintings...
